TORONTO, ONT. — Effective January 31st at 12:01 a.m. the Province of Ontario has taken the first of three steps to loosen public health measures that were in place since January 5th.
So, what does this mean for the ASHL? Simply put, we’re heading back onto the ice as ASHL gameplay at all Ontario locations will resume, effective January 31st.
Here’s what you’ll need to know about your next visit to a Canlan Sports location in Ontario:
- ◾ Schedules: As a result of a pause in gameplay, we’ve made some adjustments to our schedules, with our ASHL Winter ’21/22 season set to conclude playoffs no later than May 1st, 2022. Click here to find your team’s most up-to-date schedule.
- ◾ Spectators: Participants are currently limited to bringing no more than one (1) spectator to a Canlan Sports complex. Based on the Province’s intention to further relax public health measures moving forward, this protocol will be subject to change.
- ◾ On-Site Amenities: Where applicable, on-site amenities such as the Wild Wing or Canlan Sports Shop will be permitted to re-open with 50% of the regular capacity permitted. Please note that the availability of these amenities may be subject to change.
- ◾ Personal Masks + Proof of Vaccination: Personal protective masks must continue to be worn at all times inside the sports complex, except when actively participating on the playing surface or being seated while consuming food or beverages at an on-site Wild Wing. There will be no changes to the requirement for proof of vaccination, however, completion of the health check form will no longer need to be completed as participants will be screened upon entry.
Your health and safety continue to be our top priority, and we can’t wait to safely welcome you back through the doors. With that, grab the stick tape, sharpen the wheels, and we’ll look forward to dropping the puck and getting the ASHL back on the ice in Ontario! 🔥
